The world is changing.
Rapidly.
And it is only accelerating. We live in an overwhelming time, where it’s easy to feel lost. Too many things fight for our attention, and we lose our satisfaction and productivity.
We lose our curiosity.
The education system fails to prepare us correctly. We focus on the goal, and not the learning in itself. As we grow older, we cast aside our curiosity. Learning ends when you finish your education. It is comfortable to coast on existing knowledge.
We get by.
We take on more responsibility with age and have less time to ourselves. We fall back into old habits and stick to what we know. Finding the energy to take on new tasks becomes a tall order.
I have felt this myself. Years spent not progressing the way I wanted to, just doing the same old. Yearning for change, but feeling overwhelmed and unprepared.
And incurious.
Lots of people even give up without trying. "I can't do math". "I can't bake". Well, why not? If you take the time, I'm sure you can learn. But in order to learn we need a spark. We need our curiosity to be piqued.
The gap between the curious and the incurious grows, while access to information is equalized. This newsletter is dedicated to helping you reclaim your curiosity and productivity in an ever-changing and overwhelming world. Stand out by being curios.
For if we lose our child-like curiosity, what sets us apart?
