Changing The Format of Pragmatic Curiosity
Pragmatic Curiosity is moving to a new format of 3 posts each week, one every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
There is a misalignment between me and this newsletter.
I’ve been getting up earlier, or at least attempting to 👇
But it’s difficult. It’s been hard to see how exactly the daily effort translates to this newsletter, and not just to me sacrificing time with my partner at night. I’ve been craving a specific reason to get up. I believe the solution to this is to post more often. Three times a week, even.
I want to align the newsletter more with its name, Pragmatic Curiosity, rediscovering the reason I created it.
The name to me implies taking action on what interests you, and that is how I want to live. I’m placing a pragmatic constraint on myself through this new schedule, taking a page out of my friend
’s book.I’m turning myself into a daily 2-hour creator (subscribe to him if this idea sounds appealing to you, by the way).
Editing newsletters is taking longer than it should. I want to focus more on writing itself—to think, to improve, to say something. This obviously doesn’t mean I’m doing away with editing, but I won’t agonize over the smallest details that no one gives a rat’s ass about anyway, or rework things that need not be reworked. I won’t second-guess myself, embracing authenticity.
The topics will be broadened to what makes me excited.
The overarching theme is to make you wonder, to question, to think, to inspire and to entertain. Based on my personality, it will likely be related in some way to one of these topics:
Learning
Storytelling
Technology and gaming
Finance (trust fund, 6’5, blue eyes)
Health
Disappearing into our curiosities
The output will be at its best, and I will be most inspired, when it relates to something that catches my curiosity and is written in the moment. I will better be able to share my points-of-view, and let my personality flourish and shine through.
Each newsletter will be shorter to make the schedule realistic, focusing on an anecdote or story to teach and give hope. Narration for each post will continue. I will give everything of me.
Everything remains free.
As for now, I have my 9-5 to pay my bills. Whether this changes somehow in the future remains to be seen, but I want to commit to a free post three times a week for the foreseeable future. I do so to get in the reps, increase my volume, and to align the schedule with my tending-toward-reclusion personality and dreadfully, mind-numbingly, appallingly boring and consistent approach.
I will not post on weekends as of now, to encourage you getting lost in your curiosities.
Okay, you got me.
I won’t post on weekends because I enjoy leaving them open. I’m toying with the idea of a weekly round-up as a paid offering, released during the weekend. As of right now, I just want to get the new schedule rolling. We’ll see if this idea ever leaves the backlog, or if it gets stuck, languishing for eternity.
Thank you for reading for any of the 22 weeks I have posted weekly on Saturday. I’m tremendously grateful.

Great to see you embracing a format that better matches your creative flow, Rasmus. The focus on shorter, more frequent pieces that capture your in-the-moment curiosities sounds perfect. Excited for this new chapter!
Nice one! Can't wait to see the changes. There is no way I could post 3 times a week!
